Plan is to update these different projects as time passes, so it will give you an idea where we are.

  • On the Road Again!

    We plan to travel to Honduras and Peru for an extended season to be able to accomplish some things that cannot be done unless we have more time in-country.

    The following posts are many of the events and goals that we have for this time in Latin America. I will be doing periodic changes to represent advancement and progress in needs in these areas. Please feel free to check back periodically to keep up with our progress and how you can help.

  • Heart for the World Team Honduras

    We had a wonderful time with this group of youth from Heart for the World Church. Youth Rally, Olympics, working with the kids in devotionals, feeding brigade, preaching at the local church, etc. It was a very productive trip there in Honduras.

    Our asistant director was not able to come while we were so we worked hard on getting our dorms painted and things like that for receiving new kids.

  • Fixing and Painting Facilities for New Children at New Life

    We were able to get the bedroom and bathroom sanded and ready to be painted.

    Just received a report from Martin and saw some fotos of doors for the stalls and many other things done on the boys rooms. Great Progress!

    Budget - Praise the Lord with us! This budget has been provided from Heart for the World Church!!!

  • Off to Peru in September

    Change of Plans - We did fly back to the USA for a few weeks to visit our grandchildren and a few opportunities in churches in El Paso, TX and out in California. Then off to Peru for several months…

  • River travel to establish more Zone Leaders for discipleship

    We have ¾ of our ZONE LEADERS hooked up to WhatsApp and Google Classroom and it has been an amazing advancement to discipleship, training and coordinating.

    We plan during this trip to Peru to finish getting the last quarter of our zone leaders on WhatsApp, and expand discipleship to more strategically located leaders, and help them grow into leadership in their villages and zones.

  • Building Church Camp

    Purpose!- In Iquitos, we have been requested by other Iquitos churches to rent our church grounds and dorms for their churches’ youth camps. We started by remodeling the kitchen, and now we need to upgrade our dorm, beds and bathrooms.

    Progress!- This temporary structure served for camp a few years ago. Our team has recently finished building a metal roofed structure from the trusses of the old airplane hangar. So they now have nice place here for the meetings. All metal and cement! More buildings needed.

  • Make Visit to Huancayo in the high Andes

    Annette, Josh Gamez, and I will be doing a seminar there in Huancayo very soon. We are excited for what God has in mind! Each year we have been visiting the AFCM church “Discipulos de Cristo” located in the high Andes mountains of Peru at nearly 11,000 ft elevation.

    We support their AFCMITC Bible School and are very encouraged with their progress.

    This past family reunion in Santa Clotilde, Pastor Ronal (shown front and center) came with two of his disciples and taught us practical discipleship. A wonderful contribution to our river leaders!

    We will also be doing a 3 night set of meetings in Lima for Pastor Luis, and his associated church.

    Budget: Our budget for these two conferences is somewhere around $800-1000 with airline tickets and lodging and food.

  • River Pastors Meeting

    Update!- We have decided and now coordinated our Leaders Meeting in Santa Clotilde about a week before the elections in October to be sure we could have Josh help before returning to the US. We have established discipleship for some of these zone leaders and would use this meeting to help them become more and trained to disciple in their zones and organize the regional leaders.

    Budget: Please pray with us about helping fund this meeting: Last year we pulled out the stops and the cost for this trip and meeting was very expensive… This meeting we are hoping to accomplish this for $1500-$2000 Thank You!

And more things to do

  • Work on Air Conditioning our treehouse.

    Goal - This is our home in Iquitos. But there are seasons in the Amazon Region of Iquitos that the temperature and humidity is nearly unbearable or we are just getting older… Either way our goal is to get glass in our windows and a mini split unit installed. Can you relate? If you feel led to help us get a Mini-Split we will put up a price to see how the Lord does this.

    Budget: $600

  • Some Administration on Peru Missions Property

    Goal- Electric meters for the church and my daughters’ home. This has needed to be done for many years but especially in the more recent years we have not been on the ground enough time to see it happen. That and some other administrative things to establish in this prolonged time thereI

    We also are upgrading our dorm facilities for our many meetings that we hold on this campus for our many leaders from the rivers.

  • Fly Back to Honduras to do February paperwork & meeting

    Each year we must go to Honduras to renew Annettes residential visa and the yearly Board meeting that we must do with reports both of the home and ministries and the financials. We may have a team come while we are there to minister to the youth and neighbors.

    We also want to see how Martin is doing with the Youth Clubs we just started with our highschooler teens and add value to that effort.

  • Back to USA for upkeep and visiting

    Then we are back to our home in Broken Arrow, OK to do maintenance and visits around the country.
